Heart & Devotion is a personal art collection inspired by tales of love and devotion. The Mermaid’s Tears is an illustration from the eponymous poem I wrote about a siren healing the knight who saves her.
A Lady Knight is wounded while rescuing a mermaid from a smuggler attack — despite everything she has been taught about sirens being monsters. To her, a knight protects the innocent and defends the weak, no matter what they look like.
The poem is a tale of devotion, protection and acceptance, and the tender beginnings of an unexpected love.
